When a group indicates
they need between $300 and $1000, the
50/50 party may be the best and easiest
to conduct. They are great for Little
League, Parent/Teacher Associations
(PTA), Hockey Teams and Schools Groups.
Establish a date, time and prices to be
charged and what menu of items will be
included at the event.
Example: You want $7.50 from each bowler
to cover the cost of their bowling. If
you sell the tickets for $15.00 you make
a profit of $7.50 for your organization.
An event with 60 participants will make
your organization $450.00 not including
a raffle which is highly recommended.
When a group or
organization wants to raise $3000, $5000
or $25,000 or more, the best format is
the Bowl-A-Thon. It will only work with
organizations that have lots of movers
and shakers. A Bowl-A-Thon is where
individuals get pledges from family,
friends and co-workers to support their
cause. Typically, in a bowl-a-thon the
average amout of pledges per person is
over $100. But remember, 30% of
participants will bring you 70% of your
money.
The Corporate Lane Sell
can be used in conjunction with any type
of fundraiser. The way it works is
committee members sell lanes to
corporations and the corporation can
send 6 of their employees out to
represent the company. The corporation
gets a tax receipt and gets to reward 6
employees for their hard work.
Ordinarily, corporate lane sells are
sold for $100, $200, $500 and even
$1000.
A fund raiser with 12 lanes can make an
extra $6000 for their cause. (12 lanes @
$500 = $6000)

The best way to
ensure pledges is to ensure lots of people
are participating. Get 5 or 6 movers and
shakers from the organization with the task
of recruiting 9 other captains of which they
will find 4 other people to bowl with. The
minimum of $100 in pledges will get them
into the event without paying any extra
costs for a wonderful afternoon of
Toronto
bowling fun. All monies should be turned in
one week prior to the event to ensure you
can meet all guarantees that your group has
made for bowling and food!
It is highly recommended that you
provide food for your guests and fund
raisers. After working so hard to get their
$100 in pledges, a simple reward will ensure
their continued help the following year.
Playtime can cater to all of your food needs
from groups of 20 to galas of 300.
For a three hour event with
bowling and shoes the cost is $69 per lan
plus GST OR $140 per lane plus GST and
Playtime will donate $75 per lane back to
your organization. There is a deposit of
$50% required to book your event. A decrease
in lanes may be made one week prior to your
event.
