Trade in your dress shoes, work boots and heels and  put on a pair of bowling shoes, strike a pose and join in the fun at Playtime Bowl, Toronto, on Thursday, November 18, (6p.m.-midnight) at The Kidney Foundation of Canada's 5 th Annual Bowling Tournament, Bowl '10. This fun-filled event provides the ideal opportunity for family members, friends or co-workers to join forces; collecting pledges and cheering for strikes!

Teams of six bowlers will engage in friendly competition on and off the lanes. This fun-filled event provides the perfect opportunity to highlight your talents and share your creativity. The evening includes unique contests and, of course, we encourage you to be creative with team attire.  

While there are many benefits to participating, the greatest is that funds raised will support research and programs that address the needs of kidney patients right here in the GTA. A diagnosis of kidney disease affects the whole family. The Kidney Foundation of Canada is the leading charitable organization in Canada dedicated to funding research into kidney disease.  We are fortunate to have scientists of exceptional caliber in this country with the dedication to seek new knowledge and improve outcomes for kidney patients.   With our combined efforts of providing education and services for people at risk and those already impacted by kidney disease, The Kidney Foundation of Canada can make a difference – with your involvement in events like Bowl ‘10.

1. Recruit your most enthusiastic and competitive colleagues, family members and friends to join your team or initiate their own team.

2. Visit http://fundraising.kidney.ca/site/lookup.asp?c=bkLNI1NQIlJ4G  to register your team, join an existing team, or make a donation. The bowling website will be the core of the action. Keep your eyes on the website for team rankings, new goal incentives, bowling tips & much more!

3. Want to collect off-line pledges at your family's BBQ or other summer events? Please contact the Fund Development team to request a     pledge form.

4. Build team momentum; take every step possible to work together & reach new fundraising heights! The fun starts here; exercise your creativity during the creation of your team name and attire!

Teams are requested to raise a minimum of $2,000 using our online system, or traditional pledge forms (please note; pledges must be gathered in order to participate). Once your team has achieved their fundraising goal, please attend the event as our guest. Grab your bowling attire, forget your wallet & enjoy the evening! Cocktails and practice hour begins at 6p.m., followed by contests, dinner, entertainment and 10-pin bowling.
